An Irish landlady, after rummaging through her young tenant’s belongings, declares her love for him. It turns out she is not a landlady at all, but a jazz vocalist in a nightclub. She sings her song of longing and later complains to her manager about the wretched tour he has arranged for her. Joe presents his ‘ode to woman,’ featuring a housewife, cheerleader, flight attendant, businesswoman and streetwalker, among others.
